Clearly this isn't something we can guarantee, but we believe that delivering exceptional work, means more work will come your way. đ¤
For 30 minutes per week throughout the program, you will have the full attention of your mentor to troubleshoot, ask questions, tackle new interactions, address client issues, or anything else thatâs important to you. Itâs your time for whatever you need!
The main learning piece each week will be a 1 hour lecture guided by your mentor. Weâll cover tons of content, from the perfect execution of horizontal scrolling, best ways to estimate a project, assessing your personal techstack and so much more!
Following each lecture, there will be a 30 minute period for optional Q&A for us to walk through any questions that have come up during the lesson or any other work that might apply to the group. We limit our cohort sizes so that everyone has a chance to speak and no question is overlooked.
Admission into the program also gains you access to an exclusive community of Webflow developers and a space to ask questions, share information, and excel together. Forget messy forums saturated with people trying to sell you their solutions, let's learn as a community instead!
I'm currently working and leading amazing creatives at Polyform Studio, but before that IÂ was a full-time Webflow freelancer fr 6+ years.
Through trial and error, I have developed a rock-solid workflow, as well as a library of code and components that allow my projects to wow time and time again. When I was first starting out (and sometimes still!), I had wished that I had someone I knew I would be able to rely on for questions about small issues, quick fixes, tips, and best practices.
While the online resources for Webflow are countless, I found that I was sifting through a ton of noise and people trying to sell me their services rather than teach me and allow me to learn how to do it myself.
I want to offer the sort of program that I wish that I had access to earlier in my career. That is why I created Flowcademy. I want to create a space where developers passionate to increase the depth of their Webflow knowledge can spend 8 weeks learning together, and at the end come out the other side feeling confident walking into any client project being able to present themselves as the expert they know they are capable of being.
Setting a foundation is the most important part of any project, and this course is no different. We'll do some introductions and learn a bit about each others skill set, as well as walkthrough our Agenda and exactly how the program will work week to week.
Wait⌠I thought we were learning Webflow? Donât worry, we are! Over my last 5 years as a full-time Webflow freelancer, Iâve learned some of the most important things you can do for your project are done before you even open Webflow. I'll show you how to run and manage your projects seamlessly.
Assuming that you are going to take all of the new skills weâre about to learn and run with them, what does that mean for you financially? For your clients? In order to be successful, you need to be charging a certain amount and communicate that level of value. We'll cover different ways of charging clients for a project, how to estimate, and writing a proposal that will wow your client.
Whether youâre working with another visual designer, taking a contract from an Agency, or doing all of the visual design for your sites on your own, the tools and processes that you use for design are extremely important and there are a lot of choices out there. Weâll take a look at the most popular options, strategies and practices and how best to work within a visual design software while developing.
Weâve got a design and we have. a Webflow account waiting, where do we start? Iâll show you the most effective way to set up for a custom build, naming and building conventions that ensure responsiveness and efficiency plus some basic tricks like horizontal scrolling, locomotive scrolling, and responsive text that can set you apart.
Now that we have our basic setup, weâll start to dive into all of the ways in which Webflow allows us to truly bring a website to life. We'll cover more intricate interactions within Webflow from seamless popups, accordions and amazing menu design to CMS filtering systems, upgraded dynamic sliders, and more.
Just because Webflow is a no-code platform doesnât mean that custom code is off limits! Even if code is completely foreign to you, I will share my library of most used custom code snippets that will truly wow your client without leaving you feeling like your head is spinning. We'll cover some CSS text effects, basic jQuery hacks and Javascript.
Youâve done it. Youâve got a fully custom-designed and Webflow developed website thatâs ready to see the light of day! That in itself is a huge accomplishment, but how do we make sure that the site is performing correctly and is absolutely bulletproof? Weâll walk through a tried and true Go Live Checklist that you can use with all your client sites prior to launch to ensure no hiccups after hitting publish.

Introductions, help me learn everyoneâs skillset and background. Review of Agenda, how the program will work and why weâre all here. Weâll dive into exactly what weâll be covering during our program as each one is slightly tailored to the cohort to ensure weâre covering what everyone wants and needs to learn most.
We limit the size of our cohorts to ensure all students get the attention that they need. If you're thinking about joining our next program join our waitlist and we will alert you as soon as registration for our next cohort is open. Still have a few questions you'd like answered? Book a call with our team below and we're happy to chat.
10-12 participants will be in each cohort.
Programs run for 8 consecutive weeks (excluding cohorts that may run over holidays), and we leave 4 weeks in between to allow us to take break, digest all feedback and possibly make any adjustments necessary to the syllabus.
This means that the next cohort registration should be between 12-16 weeks after the current one listed.
We want to ensure every mentee is getting as much focus as possible, which means limiting lecture sizes so that everyone gets a chance to speak during FAQ. This also allows us to group mentees together somewhat based on skill level & top learning interest as we specify lecture material to each cohort as much as possible.
You can expect to learn my top business tips, creative flows, and developer processes that I have learned and gathered over the past 5 years as a full-time freelancer. Whether it be creating the perfect pop-up interaction, mega menu, or blog cards to a proven-winner proposal that will wow your clients, weâre going to cover a ton of ground in these 8 weeks, so buckle up!
You absolutely can! While that isnât entirely expected, if you have a client project or maybe even your portfolio that youâd like to create, we suggest working along during the course. Youâll be able to get direct feedback on your project during Office Hours each week as well as help with anything tricky, so itâs the perfect time to tackle a project but isnât a necessity.
If you know that this course will help amplify your career, but need financial assistance, please reach out to our program coordinators directly.
Each week we will consist of three main components:Â .
While everyone will be muted during the lecture, we highly encourage you to ask questions via chat within Zoom. While we would love to have live questions, we simply have so much content to cover in each session, there just wouldnât be enough time. As well as using the chat, there will be an optional 30 minute FAQ session immediately post-lecture where we will open up the floor for any burning questions that anyone might have regarding this week's content.
Exact lists may vary from cohort to cohort based on interest and need of the group, but an example list could be: client proposal, estimate worksheet, client competitive analysis, techstack breakdown, go-live checklist, stakeholder interview script, code library and more!

Thatâs what the community is for! If you have a question that you need to be answered before your office hours for the week or just need a little extra guidance, remember that your entire cohort is also Webflow developers and likely can help you as well!
This program is perfect to take alongside your next big client project. We encourage mentees to use these 8 weeks to work on any project they might have on the go and use office hours to their utmost advantage.
No! While your mentor will be working with a suggested tech stack, there is no need for you to purchase anything to take this course.
